What’s Up in Newton this Week? COVID-19 cases on the rise; School Committee gets training on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Land Use Committee closing in on Riverside; Newton Police Reform Task Force Info now available and more….

COVID-19 update: This week’s number of COVID-19 confirmed cases has risen from 777 to 791 as of July 23rd and the number of COVID-19 related deaths has increased to 122 as of July 21st. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and their families and we must remember to continue to be vigilant – stay safe; keep physical and social distancing and wear masks.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training for School Committee: This week, Tuesday, July 28th, the School Committee will receive training with Kalise Wornum Notice of the training session can be found here.

Riverside Special Permit Draft Council Order review The Riverside Special Permit Process is honing in on the Draft Council Order and the Land Use Committee will meet to review on Tuesday, July 28th. See agenda.
