Fun things to do in Newton this week

Newton Farmer’s Market: The Farmer’s Markets in Newton continue to be the most happening places to be in the City on Tuesdays at Cold Springs Park from 1:30 – 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at Elm Street in West Newton from 9:30 – 12:30 p.m., then you are missing A LOT. The Tuesday market runs from July 9th through October 22nd and the Saturday market runs from June 22nd through October 5th.  The markets are held rain or shine and are a must go destination.

Suzuki Summer Porch Concert Series: Enjoy a free summer concert this Wednesday, July 31st beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Staples-Craft-Wiswall Homestead at 1615 Beacon Street. The concert will feature performers Ari and Mia. Come and enjoy a picnic dinner during the concert! Mention the Suzuki Porch Concert Series on July 31st and receive a 10% discount on takeout orders from neighborhood partners: Barry’s Deli and Stone L’Oven. The concert is sponsored by the Newton Cultural Council.

Newton Community Pride Free Summer Concerts: The series continues with the following:

  • Senior Center Concert: Enjoy a free summer concert on Wednesday, July 31st beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Newton Senior Center, 345 Walnut Street. The concert will feature the Daybreakers. This concert is sponsored by the Village Bank and Newton Community Pride.

Summer in the Highlands 2019: The Summer Series continues this Friday at 6:00 p.m. with a concert featuring Soft Touch Dance Band (Big Band) and the movie: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
