Committee Reports Now Available – Week of December 2nd

Zoning and Planning Committee- November 26th:  The Zoning and Planning Committee met on Monday, November 26th and voted to approve the following:

  • Request to discuss and approve the adoption of the Economic Development Strategy Plan

The following items were voted No Action Necessary:

  • Discussion related to topics, issues and ideas from the Zoning Redesign Events with Committee feedback leading to staff preparation of the draft policy content outline of the New Zoning Ordinance
  • Discussion related to review, discussion and direction relative to the Zoning Redesign Project on draft policy content outline of the new Zoning Ordinance

All other items were held.

Land Use Committee – November 27th:  The Land Use Committee met on Tuesday, November 27th and voted to approve the following:

  • Four appointments to the Newton Wellesley Hospital Neighborhood Council: Jay Flynn, Bonnie Rosenberg, Terry Sherman and Theresa Fitzpatrick
  • Request for a Special Permit/Site Plan Approval to construct a rear addition to the first floor and basement levels, exceeding the maximum allowable FAR of .42 where .50 exists and .54 is proposed at 132 Pleasant Street
  • Request for a Special Permit/Site Plan Approval to allow four parking stalls in the front setbacks of the existing two-family dwelling at 79 Crescent Street/Robinhood Street

Public Facilities Committee – November 28th:  The Public Facilities Committee met on Wednesday, November 28th and voted to approve the following:

  • Amendments to the Stormwater Use Charge – deleting the current rate and substituting a rate of $100 for 1-4 family dwellings and  rate of $0.0425 per square foot of impervious surface area, except that if the square footage charge multiplied by the total impervious area of the parcel equals a sum less than $150.00, then the annual fee shall be $150.00 – for all other properties
