Notable Events – Week of August 5th

Farmer’s Market:  Be sure to visit the Farmer’s Market which is open on Tuesdays at Cold Spring Park (1:30 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.) and Saturdays (9:30 a.m.- 12:30p.m.)

Antebellum Architecture of West Newton Hill – Walk past homes built in the 1850s and learn about their architectural highlights and the people who lived here. The tour also includes the story of the fountain at the corner of Chestnut and Highland Streets installed in memory of Catherine Porter Lambert, and the house she lived in, built in 1854. Information is based on research by the West Newton Hill Preservation Initiative. Donation, $10 per person. Register at newtonma.gov/HNwalks. Dancing in the Parks –  The series of musical events continues on Wednesday, August 8th from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Coletti-Magni Park, 386 Watertown Street featuring the Mighty Silverbacks.
